Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 7, 2026 · How BizDocs collects, uses, and protects your information.

The short version: We collect what we need to run BizDocs — your account details, your document answers, and basic usage data. Your documents are yours: we don't sell your data, and we don't use your document content to build products for other customers. You can access or delete your data anytime.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. When you create an account: your name and email address, and a password if you set one (we store only a secure hash of it) — or, if you sign in with Google, the name and email address on your Google account. When you create a document: the answers you provide — which may include names, addresses, business details, and financial terms you choose to enter — and the name and email address you enter so we can save your progress. When you contact us: your name, email address, business name if you give it, and whatever you include in your message.

Payment records. Payments are processed by Stripe or PayPal. We keep a record of each purchase and subscription — the plan, amount, currency, dates, status, and the processor's reference numbers, plus the card brand and last four digits when you pay by card. We never receive or store your full card number.

How you found us. When you arrive, we record the campaign details in the link you followed — UTM parameters, ad click IDs (such as Google's gclid and Meta's fbclid), and any referral code — along with the page you landed on and the site that referred you.

Information collected automatically. Your IP address, device and browser type, operating system, approximate location (country, region, and city, worked out from your IP address), pages visited, and how you interact with the Service, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6). We also use your IP address to limit repeated attempts at sign-in, downloads, and our forms, and Google reCAPTCHA checks it to tell people from bots.

2. How we use it

We use your information to:

  • generate, save, and let you edit and download your documents;
  • operate your account, process payments, and provide support;
  • keep the Service secure and prevent fraud and abuse;
  • understand how the Service is used so we can improve it;
  • send transactional messages (receipts, account notices) and, with your consent where required, occasional product updates you can opt out of anytime; and
  • comply with legal obligations.

3. Your documents & answers

Your document content deserves its own section, because it's the most sensitive thing you trust us with.

  • Your documents belong to you. We host and process them solely to provide the Service to you.
  • We do not sell your document content or answers. Ever.
  • We do not use your document content to train models for other customers or to build products unrelated to serving you.
  • Our team does not browse your documents. Access is limited to what's needed for support (at your request), security, or legal compliance.

4. When we share information

We share information only with:

  • Service providers that help us run BizDocs — listed below, and the analytics tools in Section 6 — under contracts that limit their use of your data to providing services to us;
  • Legal authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to protect rights, safety, or the integrity of the Service; and
  • A successor entity if BizDocs is involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets — in which case this policy continues to apply and we'll notify you of any change.

Our service providers:

  • Google Cloud — hosting, database, and document storage.
  • Stripe and PayPal — payments. They handle your card details; we never see your full card number.
  • GoHighLevel — our customer emails, and the messages you send through our contact form.
  • Google reCAPTCHA — bot protection on our forms and sign-in.
  • Google sign-in — signing in with your Google account, if you choose to.

We do not sell your personal information. We use advertising tools (listed in §6) to measure and show ads for BizDocs itself. No mobile information (including phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and consent) will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

5. SMS & text-message communications

Consent. If you choose to receive text messages from BizDocs, you provide consent through a clearly labeled, unchecked-by-default checkbox at the point of collection, accompanied by disclosure of who is sending the messages, what kinds of messages you'll receive, that message and data rates may apply, and links to this Privacy Policy and our SMS Disclosure. SMS consent is not a condition of purchasing or using the Service. By opting in you confirm you are the authorized user of the mobile number provided and are 18 years of age or older.

What we send. Messages are limited to: account and security alerts, document status updates (for example, a document ready to download or a saved draft reminder), billing notices, and replies to your support requests. We do not send marketing or promotional messages from third parties by SMS.

Frequency. Message frequency varies with your activity; most users receive approximately 2–8 messages per month.

Rates & carriers. Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan; BizDocs and Cyberwire, LLC are not responsible for carrier charges. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported on all major U.S. wireless carriers; international carrier support may vary.

Opting out. Reply STOP (or END, QUIT, CANCEL, or UNSUBSCRIBE) to any message to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact help@bizdocs.com. Opting out of SMS may delay or prevent delivery of time-sensitive account or security notifications; email notices will continue where applicable.

Sharing of mobile information. No mobile information (including phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and consent) will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is shared only with subcontractors that help us deliver messages (for example, our SMS platform provider), and only for that purpose.

6. Cookies & analytics

BizDocs sets three cookies of its own:

  • bizdocs_sid — your session: keeps you signed in during a visit, links the document you're working on to your browser, and protects our forms. Deleted when you close your browser.
  • remember_CgJzZTGWPhUslRB180HUhw — keeps you signed in on this device for 30 days after you sign in.
  • bd_ftk — recognizes a returning visitor for 30 days, so the visit that first brought you to BizDocs (for example, an ad you clicked) is credited correctly. It identifies a visit, not you, and grants no access.

We also load these tools through Google Tag Manager, and each sets its own cookies:

  • Google Analytics (GA4) — measures how the Service is used, in aggregate: which pages are visited and what to improve.
  • Microsoft Clarity — shows how visitors use our pages (clicks, scrolling, and session recordings) so we can find where the Service is confusing.
  • Meta Pixel — measures the results of our ads on Facebook and Instagram.
  • Google Ads — measures the results of our ads on Google.

Google reCAPTCHA, on our forms and sign-in page, also sets its own cookie to tell people from bots. You can control cookies through your browser settings; blocking BizDocs' own cookies will break sign-in and document saving.

7. How long we keep data

Account information and stored documents are retained while your account is active. If you cancel, your stored documents remain available for you to download for as long as we host your account data. You can delete individual documents or your entire account at any time, and deletion requests are honored per Section 8. We may retain limited records (like payment history) where the law requires it — for example, for tax and accounting purposes.

8. How we protect it

Your data is encrypted in transit (TLS) and at rest. Access within our team is limited and logged. No system is perfectly secure, and we can't promise absolute security — but we treat your document content with the care we'd want for our own paperwork, and if a breach affecting your personal information ever occurs, we will notify you as required by law.

9. Your rights & choices

Depending on where you live — including under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA/CPRA) and the EU/UK GDPR — you may have the right to:

  • Access the personal information we hold about you;
  • Correct inaccurate information;
  • Delete your personal information;
  • Export your data in a portable format;
  • Opt out of marketing communications (every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link); and
  • Not be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email help@bizdocs.com or use our contact page. We'll verify your identity and respond within the timeframe required by your jurisdiction's law (generally 30–45 days). If you're in the EU/UK, you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

10. Children's privacy

BizDocs is a business tool for adults. The Service is not directed to children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the Service or the law evolves. If a change is material, we'll notify you — by email or in the Service — before it takes effect. The effective date above always reflects the current version.

12. Contact us

Privacy questions or requests: help@bizdocs.com, or reach us through the contact page. The service is operated by Cyberwire LLC.
